WAPA Web Site Is Down; Online Payment Function Affected

The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority’s (WAPA) Internet Service Provider (ISP) is currently experiencing technical problems. WAPA’s Information Technology (IT) division has been in constant contact with the ISP in an effort to ascertain the problem and establish an estimated time that service will be restored to normal.
The ISP has advised that it is currently working to rectify the problem but have not provided an estimated time of restoration. The issues plaguing the ISP causes the authority’s Web site to be down, affecting the online payment functions and Internet outage reporting.
Customers are reminded that other payment options are available, to include payment at most local banks, by placing checks or money orders in the drop boxes at WAPA business offices or by mail using the envelope included with the billing statement.
In the event of an electrical or water emergency or to report outages, customers can call WAPA emergency lines: St. Croix at 773-0150 or St. Thomas-St. John at 774-1424. E-mails can be sent to communications@viwapa.vi. E-mails can be sent to communications@viwapa.vi.
