A man injured by a gunshot on Raphune Hill early Wednesday was treated and released at the Schneider Regional Medical Center.
At 1:50 a.m., officers responded to a report of a gunshot victim seeking treatment at the hospital. The victim, whose name was not released by police, told officers he’d been traveling up Raphune Hill on his scooter when he heard shots being fired. He hopped off of his scooter and ran into the bushes to call 911.
The victim, who sustained one gunshot wound to his leg, was unable to provide any information on the make or model of the vehicle that fired after him, nor any reason as to anyone wanting to shoot him.
