Virginia Griffith Andrews Dies at 70

Virginia Griffith Andrews Virginia Griffith Andrews, also known as "Gina," of Estate Grove Place died on June 2 at the Walton Manor Health Care Center.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Elisa Bastian-Griffith; father, Alexander Griffith; husband, Ephraim Andrews; and daughter, Carol Andrews.
She is survived by her daughters: Geraldine Samuel, Claudette Christian, Laverne, Norma and Natasha Andrews; sons: Earl, Wayne, Patrick and Ephraim Andrews; sisters: Eleanor Griffith-Parris, Ada and Delores Griffith, and Joyce Griffith-Prescott; brothers: Alexis, Calvin, Melvin and Joseph Griffith, Ivan Simpson and Joel Griffith; granddaughters: Latoya Andrews, Camisha Christian, Sasha Frederick, Shante’ Samuel, Carla Lafong, Latrice Andrews, Gabrielle Fatal, Aaliyah, Jaynea and Jada Andrews, Jalisa Mc Knight and AyJaylah Blandin; grandsons: Jabbar Jacobs, Kelo, Trevor and Ephraim McPhersen, Ichan and Emmanuel Christain, Richard and Anthony Samuel, Devorte Andrews, Abayomi Andrews and Nakari Andrews: and great-grandchildren: Brandon, Nacoya Johnson, Jayla Jacobs, Kela McPhersen, Zahniyah Forde, Jahniyah Fredrick, Syriah Samuel, Dy’Niece McPhersen, Elisa and Amonquie Christian, Trevor McPhersen Jr., Tre and Jaden Samuel, and Kryie and Kanye Kellam.
She is also survived by daughter-in-law, Nadine Andrews: sons-in-law: Richard Samuel Jr. and Fredrick Blandin; brothers-in-law: Samuel Daniel, Simon Thomas and Edgar Andrews; sisters-in-law: Christophen Davis, Miriam Joseph, Ilene Roach, Victoria and Elisabeth Griffith; godchildren: Amira Russell and Velma Edwards; and nieces and nephews: Annetta, Jaimie, Michael, Annette, Joy, Michelle, Lisa, David, Dawn, Jeffery, Janice, Monique, Chantele, Chane, Julissa, Tieshia, Alexis, Norma, Beverly, Patisha, Clement, Zabra, Okpara, Jamila, Afiya, Wanda, Carl, Joseph, Alexander, Kelvin, Keyesha, Brandi, Calvin, Dexter, Edison, Raymond, D-wayne, June, Junior, Joletta, Joleen and Henry.
Other survivors include: adopted grandchildren: Jason, Jahlequah, J’Niequah, Gary, Jada and Temeka; close cousins: Theresa, Dolores, Alice, Mercedes, Annette, Juanita and Larry George; close friends and family: Fetal family, Catherine James and family, Andrews family, Augustina Edward and family, Sandra Russell and family, Dolores Miller and family, Bastian family, Griffith family, Carolie Carr and family, Valarie Greenidge and family, Carleen Cornwall, Peter Thomas, Williams family, Jones family, Samuel family, Arthur and family, Francis family, Merilyn Christian and family, Jonas and family, Mark family; family and friends of Walton Manor Nursing Home; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
A viewing will take place at 10 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 28, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Interment will be at Kingshill Cemetery.
