Feb. 2, 2009 – Joyce Maria Ringham, also known as "Mum," "Mai" and "Grandma Joyce," of Mount Welcome died on Jan. 29, at her residence.
She is survived by her daughters: Donna Lezama, Denise Powers and Deanna Ringham; sons: Donald, Donataus and Demitri Ringham, Marc, Anthony and Michael McDavid; grandchildren: Oken, Pauline and Tamarah Lezama, Shalima Maynard, Donald II, Shenequa, Akeel and Indira Ringham, Derek Powers Jr. and Alysen Powers; 19 great-grandchildren; daughters-in-law: Angela Maynard, Selma and Maureen McDavid; and son-in-law: Learie Lezama. She is also survived by sisters: Jean Gittens and Joan Kahn; brothers; Monty, Kingsley and Franklin James; special friends: Marilyn Frederick, Pat Singh, Thelma Baird, Suzie Bough James, and the Orr, James, Sanchez, Williams, Nelson, Cummings, Finley and King families; as well as many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
The family asks that attendees wear pastel colors.

A viewing will take place at 10 a.m. and a funeral service at 10:30 a.m., on Wednesday, Feb. 4, at Holy Cross Catholic Church.
