Rupert Waldmar Benjamin Ross Dies at 85

Nov. 1, 2007 – Rupert Waldmar Benjamin Ross, also known as "Wally," of Wheel of Fortune, Frederiksted, died on Oct. 28, at his residence.
He is survived by his daughters: Janice L. Ross Grant, Jewel Ross Brathwaite and Judy Anne Ross; sons: Rupert W. Ross Jr., Edgar D. Ross, Raymond O. Ross, James L. Ross and Edward P. Ross; grandchildren: Cheru A., Rupert O., Edgar T., Yvette Ross-Edwards, Desiree and Wendye Ross-Rice, Wayne and Ian Tomlinson, Doris, Neelia, Jamalia, James Jr., Rudy, Reva, Randolph Jr., Roan and Rashawn Ross, Mervelle A. Sage, Mervin L. Sage Jr., Jinika Nisbitt, Jenee Roberts, and Jeleayah Brewster; and 17 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by sister, Ruth Ross Mullgrav; aunt, Rhynita Ross; caretaker, Hertruda Susannah Ross, and many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing from 9-10 a.m., on Tuesday, Nov.6, at Friedensberg Moravian Church, Frederiksted. A funeral service will follow at 10 a.m., at the church. Interment will be at the Frederiksted Cemetery.
