SOUTHGATE GIFT OPENS UP NEW ECOLOGICAL VISTAS

Tranquil grasses swaying with the gentle winds welcome wildlife and humans into the plains of the Southgate Salt Pond on St. Croix's East End, a gift recently deeded to the St. Croix Environmental Association. It's SEA's mission to find ways for the 100-acre parcel, which also includes mangroves and a protected beach, to accommodate human enjoyment without compromising its ecosystem.
