Get ready for the hottest chicken wing and music festival in the Caribbean! King of the Wing is the island’s largest event, second only to the St. Thomas Carnival. Now in its 13th year, King of the Wing is anticipated to be one of the biggest culinary events in the U.S. Virgin Islands, attracting thousands of attendees to Magens Bay Beach. Alpine Securities and White Bay Group have organized the event since its inception in 2010 and has raised crucial funds for local non-profit organizations.
King of the Wing has continued to grow in popularity, with community support and funds raised increasing each year. The last King of the Wing boasted 46 participating teams, thousands of people in attendance, and thousands raised in funds for the Virgin Islands Children’s Museum (VICM). The 2024 event is expected to surpass all previous milestones to make this year’s the best yet.
With the help of Keswick Insurance, it will have an even more robust and streamlined shuttle service for those who are unable to park on the beach on that day. Everyone is encouraged to carpool as much as possible to maximize the available parking or to arrive by boat.
This year’s beneficiary, the Nana Baby Children’s Home (NBH), is a 501 (c) 3 organization, dedicated to providing care for hundreds of children. The Department of Human Services (DHS) places children in the care of the Nana Baby Children’s Home when in danger or a crisis. Although the Department of Human Services provides Nana Baby Children’s Home with a monthly stipend, additional funding is critical to help sustain and maintain the home throughout the year. Events like King of the Wing are essential for raising awareness and funds for those most in need.
King of the Wing brings the community together like no other event does. This year will provide mouthwatering food, amazing entertainment, and non-stop music in support of a critical and worthy cause.
