‘Bling Bling Bras’ to Raise Funds for Breast Cancer Patient

Carol Tuohy, the ‘Queen Mother,’ displays some Bling Bling Bras

The ladies of the Caribbean Palm Bonnets, a chapter of the Red Hat Society, are again raising money for a local, uninsured breast cancer patient with their display of “Bling Bling Bras.” The public is encouraged to vote for their favorite bra that is hanging on display at Red Hook Mail Services and Pistarckle Theater in Tillett Gardens.

By dropping donations into the voting box, the community can help raise money for the patient. Last year’s storms prevented the project, but unfortunately cancer does not take a year off.

Any business, such as restaurants, offices or stores that would offer support by letting a display of “traveling bras” be placed on location any morning, afternoon or evening would be very much appreciated. Caribbean Palm Bonnets will do all the work to set up the display; all that is needed is a small space for a few hours.

If interested, please call Carol Tuohy, “Queen Mother” of the Red Hats, at 626-5538.
