Greg Baron, 39, of Estate Hope was arrested at 5:29 a.m. Sunday and charged with second-degree assault and destruction of property/domestic violence.
According to the V.I. Police Department, Baron was taken into custody after he was involved in an altercation during which he allegedly slapped and strangled his girlfriend.
The victim told officers that during the altercation Baron destroyed her mobile device.
Baron was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections, pending his advice of rights hearing. No bail was set for Baron, as per the territory’s domestic violence laws.
