The victim in Monday night’s shooting on St. Thomas was identified Tuesday as 21-year-old Ezekiah Joseph.
It was the third homicide on St. Thomas since the start of the year, the fourth in the territory.
According to the V.I. Police Department, officers were notified of shots fired and a man down at about 6:15 p.m. Monday. When officers arrived on the scene they saw an unresponsive male near building 21 of the Tutu High Rise apartments.
The victim was pronounced dead on the scene by emergency medical technicians and taken to the Schneider Regional Medical Center.
