James was born and raised in Antigua, West Indies. He continued his photography on a part-time basis during his 45 years working as a professional television broadcast engineer. He served as the chief engineer at WTJX Channel 12 and as the station’s volunteer-staff photographer. His photographs were published in the TV station’s booklet, “Take Twelve” from 1992-2009. In November 2009, his photography was featured in the station’s first edition of the “Taste of Two Islands” cookbook.
The art exhibit can be viewed in the gallery at the Reichhold Center for the Arts from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Mondays through Fridays and on weekends during intermission at Reichhold Center’s scheduled performances beginning on March 3. The photographs are available for purchase.
