Edwin Rennix Hodge, better known as “Hodgie” or “Horse Shoe,” died on Feb. 7.
He is survived by his wife, Lelona Hode; daughters: Yvonne Webster, Sandra and Glenda Hode and Nicole Hodge Bridgewater; sons: Coury and Edwin Hodge; stepchildren: Deborah Leonard and Miguel Brooks; sons-in-law: Davis Webster and Shawn Bridgewater; brothers: Campbell, O’Neal and Cecil Hodge; sisters: Zulma Van Heyningen and Ruth Hodge; grandchildren: Watisha Farrington, Tony Browne, La Shaun and Malik Webster, Ismael, Kori, Courty Jr., Korie and Kaelin Hodge, and Nichelle Maynard; and great-grandchild, Asia Webster.
He is also survived by nieces: Sandra Hodge Hilliman, Jacqueiline Van Heyningen, Mirna Hodge Joseph, Monica Hodge Smith, Patty Hodge Bass and Chercma Hodge; nephews: James Van Heyningen, Corle, Andie, Ron , Craig, Cecil Jr. and Ricky Hodge; special friends: Walwyn Hodge, Ronald and Aubrey Harrigan, Desmond Maynard, Alicia Gumbs, Jackie Jones, Beverly Monsanto, Henley Connor, Earl Creque, Ellen Hodge and Angel Guzman; and many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
The viewing will be held at 9 a.m. and a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 21, at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church.
