Viola Lafong Dies

Viola Lafong died on Jan. 23.
Viola LaFong is survived by her daughters: Patricia Prince, Vivian Prince, Delta Vanterpool Thomas, Delia Vanterpool Daniel and Derece Vanterpool; sons:Reuben Callwood Jr. and Dennis Vanterpool Jr.; grandchildren: Kim Dasant Newell, Ralph Dasant Jr., Raquel Dasant, Kamilah Clenance, Rashidi Clenance, Toiya Issac, Tikisha Thomas, Shareka Thomas, Brittney Daniel, Rashaun London, Jeanila Callwood, Javon Vanterpool, Akeem Vanterpool and Kimani Vanterpool; great-grandchildren: Kellon Smith, Malik Greene, Jordan Newell, Elijah Niles and Eric Thomas; great-great grandchild, Navaeh Vanterpool; great-great-great grandchild, Kaiden Smith; nieces: Alpha Leonard, Vivian Faulkner, Georgia George and Claudia LaFong; great nieces: Janelle Robinson, Rebecca Faulkner, Claudette Smith, Carl LaFong and Jessica LaFong; nephew,Edwin George; great nephews:Wilfred Smith (aka Sputie), Rudolph Faulkner, Ronald Faulkner, Samuel Smith, Jamal Smith and Carlton LaFong, Jr.; grand-son-in-law,Godfrey Newell; best friend,Valerie Peterson; and many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
A viewing will be held from 9-11 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 11, at Faith Christian Fellowship Church. Interment will be at Western Cemetery No. 1.
Funeral arrangements are by Turnbull’s Funeral Home.
