Two Arrested for Pot Possession

Two men found with marijuana were arrested by St. Thomas police last week and charged with simple possession of a controlled substance.

According to a V.I. Police Department news release, Shamoy Jarvis, 19 was arrested shortly before 4:30 p.m. Saturday. Officers said Jarvis was found with a small plastic bag of marijuana and a marijuana cigarette in the John Brewer’s Bay area.

In an unrelated incident, Ishmell Sasso, 33, was found with two small plastic bags of marijuana and drug paraphernalia on Skyline Drive. He was arrested at about 9 a.m. Thursday.

Bail for both suspects was set at $500 each and they were remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending further court action.
