Man Arrested After Threatening to Kill Wife

St. Thomas detectives arrested a man after he threatened to physically harm his wife Monday.

Jamie M. Smith, 41, was arrested shortly after 6 a.m. Monday, and charged with disturbance of the peace domestic violence. According to a V.I. Police Department news release, Smith pushed his wife while the two were at their home in Tutu Valley, and then threatened to buy a gun and kill her.

Smith’s bail was denied due to the nature of the crime, and he has been remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending further court action.
