Human Services Warns About Misuse of EBT Cards

The Department of Human Services Division of Family Assistance reminds the public that Electronic Benefit Cards (EBT) are solely for the purchase of food items. Misuse of Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) funds my result in repayment, forfeiture of benefits and/or prosecution, according to a press release issued Friday by the DHS.
Should SNAP fraud be suspected, calls may be made anonymously to 718-0990 or 1-800-440-8477 (relay 711) for the hearing impaired. All calls are confidential.
