Lieutenant Governor Gregory R. Francis and VI SHIP Director/Medicare Coordinator Rena Sarauw are inviting the public to attend the 2010 Medicare Beneficiary Forums that will be held throughout the territory. On St. Croix, the forum will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 16, at Gertrude’s Restaurant. The forum in the St. Thomas-St. John district will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 17, at the Windward Passage Hotel. Events on both islands will be from 9 a.m. to noon.
The forum will offer beneficiaries information updates on the Medicare program and the recently enacted health care reform legislation. Presentations will also be made on disability rights, hypertension and diabetes, according to a press release from the Office of the Lieutenant Governor.
