Police Confiscate 21 Bags of Marijuana

Members of the VIPD Intelligence Unit confiscated 21 bags of marijuana, which was discovered on the southern side of the Lionel Roberts Stadium in Hospital Ground around 2 p.m. Tuesday.
Members of the Intelligence Unit, along with other police officers, were searching the area for a wanted suspect when they observed a black knapsack containing the marijuana, which was packaged for sale, along with a battery-operated scale.
Police said the street value of the marijuana is approximately $420.
The marijuana, knapsack and scale were turned over to Forensic Unit detectives.
