Ethel Sylvanda Nesbitt Dies at 89

Ethel Sylvanda Nesbitt, also known as "Sill," of Estate Lavalle died on Oct. 10. She was 89 years old.
She is survived by her daughters: Edna Sewer Martin and Freda Henley; grandchildren: Berand, Joyce, Angela, Stephine, Brenda, Derrick, Saeed, Akitunde, Zalika, Walidah, Obsai and Isha; nine great-great grandchildren; five great-great-great grandchildren; stepdaughter-in-law, Carolina Henley; son-in-law, Bomani Henley; great nieces: Loleen, Leila, Lezlie and Lerna; and great-great nephews: Errol and Dennis. She is also survived by caregivers: Augustina Henry, Michel Henry and Elizabeth Henry; special friends: Sylvia Sajous, Anthony Smith, Melba Williams and family, Debra Williams and family, the La-Vallie community; cousins and other relatives: the Henry family, Gloria, the Kiture family, the Nesbitt family, the Johannes family, the Armstrong family, the Harvey family, the Slater family, the Miller family, the Smith family, the Acoy family, Christian Richard and family, the Eric Benjamin family, Adina Kiture, the Lang family, Leona Folks and family, Thelma Moody and family, Janice and Arlene; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing held at 9 a.m. and a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 27, at the James Memorial Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Kingshill Cemetery.
