St. Croix Police Investigating a Non-Fatal Shooting

Police on St. Croix are investigating a shooting that occurred at about 3:16 a.m. Friday in the Lorraine Village Apartments.

A 26-year-old victim was shot at least once and treated at the Governor Juan F. Luis Hospital and Medical Center.

According to the initial report, when police arrived at the scene they saw the injured victim on the ground with at least one gunshot wound to his body. The victim was conscious, but he did not give police any information on the suspects.

The Criminal Investigation Bureau is following up on the case. Anyone with information regarding the case can call Criminal Investigation Bureau detectives at 712-6077 or 712-6037 or the anonymous tip service, Crime Stoppers USVI, at 1-800-222-TIPS.
