St. Croix Virgin Islands Tennis Association will hold it junior tournament on May 7-9 at the Buccaneer Hotel Tennis Club. The categories are: boys and girls, ages 10, 12, 14, 16, and 18 singles, with a consolation round so that each player will play at least two matches.
The fees will be $15 per person and players must be United States Tennis Association (USTA) members. The entry fee must be paid prior to the start of player’s match. The sign-up deadline is 6 p.m. on Monday, May 3.
All matches will be two out of three sets with 12-point tiebreakers in accordance with USTA rules. The 10-and-under category will play one six game set. Defaults will be imposed 15 minutes after scheduled time if courts are available. Balls will be provided.

VITA has some funds from the V.I. Olympic Committee available for juniors to travel from St. Thomas/St. John to St. Croix, which will be divided evenly among the players who go (not to exceed plane fare).
This tournament is to establish the players’ individual junior rankings in the Virgin Islands.
