PTSA Holds Orientation for District PTA and PTO Officers

St. Thomas-St. John District will host an orientation and open house for public school PTA and PTO officers from 10 a.m. to noon, on Saturday, Sept. 19, according to a press release from Deborah Adams-Gonzales, president of the U.S. Virgin Islands Congress of Parents, Teachers and Students Association Inc. “This is the first in a series of regular meetings that will be held in each district to assist our membership with any concerns they may have, to share information and provide training,“ said Adams-Gonzales.

Jeanette Smith-Barry, superintendent of the district, and Belinda West-O’Neal, executive director of Inter-Islands Parent Coalition for Change (VI Find/VI Push), will attend. The meeting will be held at the Department of Education Curriculum Center in Anna’s Retreat. “I look forward to full attendance by the district’s PTA and PTO officers and an engaging meeting,” said Adams-Gonzales.
To confirm attendance, contact Adams-Gonzales at 344-9973 (775-7388 evenings) or via e-mail at usvi_pres@pta.org.
