Kean High School Will Have Annual Spring Concert

The Ivanna Eudora Kean High School Music Department invites the public to its annual spring concert, "The Color of Sound," to be performed at 7 p.m., on Thursday, May 21, at the IEKHS Café.
Musical genres will include classical, country, R&B, hip-hop, jazz, gospel, reggae and calypso. The concert will feature: The Concert Band, under the direction of Urbane Chinnery; the Concert Choir, under the direction of Monee Davis; the Jazz Band, under the direction of Dionne R. Donadelle; the Chorus and Jazz Choir, under the direction of Jeannette A. Rhymer; and the Steel Band, under the direction of Glenn Elskoe.
Kean High School's 2009 Calypso Monarch Kelly Charleswell Jr. and other surprise guest artists will make special guest performances.
Tickets are $5 for students and $10 for adults, and can be purchased from participating students, the music department and the school's main office. For more information, call 777-JAZZ or 775- 6380, ext. 4830.
