Feb. 24, 2009 – Virgin Islands Tennis Association will conduct recreational coaches workshops (RCW) on St. Thomas and St. Croix, March 7 and 14, respectively. The RCW is open to anyone interested in learning the basics of coaching and teaching tennis or seeking a refresher on more current methods and effective tools. Participants do not have to be members of the U.S. Tennis Association.
Specifically the RCW covers:
The top 10 games every coach should know
• The games-based approach to coaching
• Teaching large groups
• Running effective team practices
• QuickStart Tennis Format
RCW – St. Thomas, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, March 7, at the Sub Base tennis courts from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The cost is $5 and lunch is included. To sign-up, contact William McComb at 777-4044 or at wfmccomb.eng@attglobal.net. The sign-up deadline is March 3.
