St. Croix Global Mala Project

Sept. 19, 2008 – As part of International Yoga Month, the Department of Housing, Parks and Recreation will be co-sponsoring the Second Annual St. Croix Global Mala Project.
Local yoga teachers, Tanja McPherson and Destry Turner, along with dedicated yogini Leslie Hamdorf, are organizing the event.
The St. Croix Yoga Mala will consist of a total of 108 minutes of practice with four parts of 27 minutes each, taught by four different teachers.
The event will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., on Saturday, Sept. 20, at the David C. Canegata Multi Purpose Recreation Center in Christiansted. All are welcome; no previous yoga experience is necessary; admission is free.
