Margaret Emelia Brown Dies at 87

June 21, 2007 – Margaret Emelia Brown, also known as "Amy, Nenny or Amelia," of Herbert Grigg Home for the aged died on Friday, June 15, at Gov. Juan F. Luis Hospital. She was 87 years old.
She is survived by her adopted daughter and niece, Doris Brown; special goddaughter, Barbara Simmonds; nieces: Jewel and Judith Thompson; nephews: Hubert Brown Sr., David Brown Sr., Edwin Brown, Arthur Brown Sr. and Bernard Brown Sr.; sister-in-law, Ione Brown; 16 great nieces, 16 great nephews, 6 great-great nieces; and 7 great-great nephews. She is also survived by special friends: Gwendolyn Lucas, Joyce Christian, Daphne Danielsen, Rachael James, Dorothy Petersen Callwood, James Coppin and Medora Augustin, as well as many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing held from 10-11 a.m., on Friday, June 29, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Frederiksted. A funeral service will take place following the viewing at 11 a.m., in the church. Interment will be at the Frederiksted Cemetery.
Professional funeral arrangements are entrusted to James Memorial Funeral Home Inc.
