UVI Board of Trustees to Meet June 16

June 8, 2007 – The University of the Virgin Islands Board of Trustees will hold its quarterly meeting at 9 a.m., on June 16, in the Great Hall North West Wing on the St. Croix campus. The meeting will convene with regular session agenda items. President LaVerne E. Ragster will give the President's Report, followed by Chairman's Comments from Board Chairman Dr. Auguste E. Rimpel Jr. Following the chairman's comments, the board will consider several items that require action.
Members of the board will elect the chair and vice chair of the board for the 2007-2008 year from the list of candidates presented by the Nominating Committee. The Finance Committee will present several items for the board's approval, including the Fiscal Year 2008 Operating Budget, the Fiscal Year 2007 Compensation Pay Plan and a Performance Incentive Award Program.
Among the other agenda items, the board is being asked to approve is a proposal for students who complete their prescribed coursework in summer or fall to graduate in December, and a resolution to recognize past UVI presidents.
The board will review a presentation of UVI's key performance indicators and will approve a consent agenda of items pertaining to several ongoing university projects.
The UVI Board of Trustees last met on March 17, on the St. Thomas campus.
