St. Croix Environmental Association Sponsors Activity

March 30, 2007 – St. Croix Environmental Association will hold a UVI farm tour from 9-10:30 a.m., Saturday, April 7. It will be lead by Kate Lincoln, a research specialist in horticulture and an integrated farm manager. She will conduct a tour of the UVI Integrated Farm System Project. She will talk about the tanks of Tilapia waste, which provide fertilizer that feeds into the three acres of vegetable crops. There is also a farm stand open for the purchase of vegetables and fruit.
