Sept. 21, 2005 – Althea Garvey of Estate Mahogany Welcome died on Sept. 13, in North Carolina at the age of 49. Garvey was the manager of GAR Appliances, and she was a graduate of St. Croix Central High School Class of 1976.
She is survived by her mother, Margaret Henry Garvey; children: Kernita and Kevik David; a sister, Louise Nisbett; stepfather, Bertram Hendrickson; and special friend, Charles David. Also survived by many relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
Funeral services will take place on Friday, Sept. 23, at First Assembly of God Church in Christiansted at 11 a.m. There will first be a viewing at 10 a.m. Interment will be at the Kingshill Cemetery.
