Frederiksted Health Care Inc. Offering Outreach

Aug. 3, 2004 – In observance of Aug. 8-14 as National Health Center Week, several events are planned on St. Croix.
The Frederiksted Health Center/Ingeborg Nesbitt Clinic is hosting an open house on Aug. 11 beginning at 10 a.m. Members of the community are invited "to visit and get information on the type of services that are offered," a release stated.
And on Aug 14, there will be a health fair at the Sunny Isle Shopping Center. There, FHC/INC will provide free health screening with cholesterol, glucose and blood pressure tests as well as immunizations available to the public.
The FHC/INC and the Education Complex School-based Health Center, both operated by Frederiksted Health Care Inc., serve about 6,000 patients a year, according to the release. "National standards dictate the type of services that are offered, and FHC/INC takes pride in providing families with access to doctors and quality health care," it states.
