DISTRICT EDUCATION PERSONNEL TO BE HONORED

May 22, 2001 – In conjunction with National Educators Appreciation Week, the Education Department St. Thomas-St. John district will host a celebration dinner recognizing 45 exemplary teachers, counselors, librarians, nurses and paraprofessionals at 7 p.m. Saturday at Palms Court Harbour View.
Honorees have demonstrated professional and personal commitment in teaching and learning, particularly in the areas of professional development, parental involvement, extracurricular activities and community service. Each has had excellent attendance this school year and has earned an outstanding rating, according to a release.
