ALLEGED CAR-JACKING ENDS IN WATERFRONT CRASH

Two unidentified men were hospitalized after a reported early Saturday morning car-jacking incident ended in a crash on the waterfront.
St. Thomas police have not commented publicly on the incident, which sent two suspects to the hospital for various injuries after they crashed a vehicle they reportedly car-jacked from the Sub Base area. But sources have confirmed that the two men stopped a woman on the Sub Base road and commandeered her Suzuki sport utility vehicle.
Carol Dudley of the Crown Bay Marina denied a report that one of the car-jacking suspects had robbed Tickles Dockside Pub. She did say a Tickles employee reported a crime in the Crown Bay parking lot early Saturday morning.
The two suspects were taken to Roy L. Schneider Hospital for treatment. There was no word on whether the victim of the car-jacking was injured in the incident.
The vehicle was towed from the scene and is in Police Department custody as the investigation continues.
