LITTLE RED….WHAT?

As if by magic, two little red-roofed structures have sprung up on the waterfront across from A. H. Riise, near the St. John ferry.
I've noticed on my morning walks a couple of patches of torn up concrete there, and, from time to time, a yellow sawhorse marking the spot(s). And now, voila!, two comely little red. . . . tings?
I decided to find out what they were, and what better place to start than the Port Authority.
I spoke to the operator who directed me to the engineering department, who directed me to the property department, who directed me back to the engineering department, and all at record speed.
They were all impeccably polite and sympathized with my distress. They referred me to their head engineer, who is off-island until tomorrow.
I've lived here for a very long time, and tomorrow might be too late. Tomorrow they might be gone. It wouldn't be the first time. (Remember the Sinbad Festival booths?)
Anyhow, they're a nice touch on the waterfront. Perhaps they will put some benches underneath. Who knows?
Oh, they forgot their sawhorse.
