DRUGS WORTH $5 MILLION FOUND AT AIRPORT

Agents of the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area and U.S. Customs have seized 11 kilos of cocaine and 6 kilos of heroin at Cyril E. King Airport.
The drugs have a street value of $5 million
The drugs were found Monday in two bags that were left unattended at one of the departure gates, according to a release Tuesday from the U.S. Attorney's Office.
Richard P. Holmes HIDTA task force resident agent made the announcement. Holmes said the drugs were at the gate where the Continental flight to Newark, N.J. was leaving from. Holmes said it was a total fluke that the drugs were found. No investigation or surveillance was being conducted. He said, however, HIDTA is now conducting an investigation.
