'HALLEY'S COMET' REBOOKED FOR DEC. 11, 12

The play "Halley's Comet," starring John Amos, has been rebooked for Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 11 and 12, at Island Center for the Performing Arts.
Originally scheduled for Nov. 19 and 29, the touring production performances were postponed because of Hurricane Lenny.
Amos is probably best known for his role at James Evans in the '70s hit television comedy series "Good Times." He also portrayed the adult Kunta Kinte in the "Roots" mini-series and co-starred with Eddie Murphy in the motion picture "Coming To America."
Curtain time is 8 p.m. Tickets for covered seating are $20 in advance and $25 at the door; those for open-air seats are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. Tickets from the original Nov. 20 date will be honored on Saturday, Dec. 11. Those from Nov. 19 will be accepted on Sunday, Dec. 12.
For ticket outlets and more information, call 778-5272.
