APPARENT DROWNING AT LINDBERGH BAY

Hilda Thomas, 83, of 26-FA Lindbergh Bay, was found floating face down in the water at Lindbergh Bay early Sunday morning.
At 7:26 a.m. an employee of Walker's by the Sea restaurant called police to report a possible drowning.
Police and emergency medical technicians responded to the call and pulled Thomas from the water. She was taken to the Roy L. Schneider Hospital, where she died at 8:40 a.m., according to a report from Police Chief Jose Garcia.
An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death.
