The University of Puerto Rico at Rio Piedras is one of the powers of the LAI. Last year, their women's team won the chanmpionship. They have two Puerto Rican national team players plus eight national Superior League Players. Their men's team took second in the conference. They are also NCAA D-II and part of the new NCAA D-II conference in Puerto Rico.
