Soccer Federation Partners with Leatherback Brewing and The Island Green for Fan Zones

The Official USVISF Soccer Fan Zones began during the FIFA World Cup and have now evolved into long-term partnerships to unite soccer supporters through dedicated venues throughout the year, federation officials said in a written statement Monday.

During the FIFA World Cup, both locations became gathering places for hundreds of passionate fans.

On St. Thomas, The Island Green saw crowds of supporters throughout the tournament, culminating in an electric World Cup Final watch party.

On St. Croix, Leatherback Brewing Co. partnered with the USVISF to transform the venue into an interactive soccer festival for the World Cup Final. In addition to the live match broadcast, the federation created a family-friendly experience featuring a mini soccer field, a footvolley court, a soccer obstacle course, soccer golf, and a World Cup-themed tic-tac-toe challenge showcasing the flags of the competing nations.

Families also enjoyed kid-friendly treats including fraco, cotton candy, and popcorn, while Leatherback Brewing Co. offered its full food and beverage menu, creating an event that appealed to fans of all ages.

These new partnerships extend far beyond the FIFA World Cup, the federation said.

Both Leatherback Brewing Co. and The Island Green will serve as community gathering places where supporters can watch live broadcasts of U.S. Virgin Islands National Team matches as well as USVISF domestic league competitions, creating new opportunities for fans to connect with local soccer throughout the year.
