Director Kyle Fleming has announced that two lucky summit participants will have the chance to win a $10,000 rebate at the Virgin Island Energy Office’s 2024 Electric Vehicle Summit. The summit will be hosted on both St. Thomas and St. Croix between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. on July 16 and July 19, respectively, at the campuses of the University of the Virgin Islands.

The 2024 Electric Vehicle Summit is an informative symposium that will feature four panel discussions to answer questions covering everything from common problems and solutions that EV owners in the territory have encountered, where to charge a vehicle, how to invest in EV, and much more. One $10,000 rebate will be raffled away at each summit.

The 2024 Electric Vehicle Summit is the best place to learn about key aspects of the Virgin Islands’ strategy to enhance energy resilience and reduce carbon emissions. The Bryan/Roach Administration is committed to cutting the territory’s reliance on fossil fuels, an ambition that once fully realized will yield greater energy security for all residents, and significant savings in the cost of power generation.

The Virgin Island Energy Office has been tasked with leading the effort to make sure that agencies across the entire government ecosystem adapt to the fast pace at which green technologies are innovating, and crafting public-facing programs that help everyday citizens take part in the green revolution.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Must be a Virgin Islands resident
  • Have registered for the summit online at Virgin Islands Electric Vehicle Summit 2024 (www.vievsummit.com)
  • Participate in the summit that the person has registered for
  • Be present at the time of the drawing
