Kaleb Edwards Dies at 71

Kaleb Edwards, also known as “Otto” or “Eddy,” of Estate La Reine died on Sept. 23. He was 71 years old.

He is survived by his wife, Bernadine Edwards; daughters: Agatha Edwards and Andria Burton Sam; sons: Kervin (Juny) and Eddie Edwards; grandchildren: Maya and Isiah Sam; sister, Julia Edwards Santos; brothers: Abraham, Martin, Hugh (Hodge) and Pedro Barrington Edwards; nieces: Krista Edwards, Ashley Edwards and Joselle Edwards; nephews: Frank and Jefferson Prevost, Kevin, Hal and Eric Edwards; great-niece, Nora Edwards; and great nephew, Henry Edwards.

He is also survived by uncles: Conrad Prevost, George Prevost and Paul Prevost Sr.; daughter-in-law, Timara Greene Edwards; brothers-in-law: Miguel Santos, David and Stewart Burton; and sisters-in-law: Marcella Edwards, Sophia Edwards, Mildreth Barrie, Melizia St. Aimie, Clarencia Sanford and Victoria Nicolo; godchild, Hal Edwards.

Other survivors include special friends: Patrick and Elta George, Francis McFarlane and family, Eustace Prescott, Adele and Matthew Gilbert, Ernest and Mary Vincent, Carl Isaac, Cecil and Eunice George, Kai Thomas, Ana L. Garcia, the Delsol families, Irwin and Patricia James, John and Nina Brumant, Mr. John St. Rose and family, the Estate La Reine Community, the St. Ann’s Catholic Church, members of the Fountain of Life Prayer Group; Cousins and other relatives: Amie and Justin Bannis and family, Masford Christmas, the Edwards, Prevost, Vigilant, Baptist, Dubique, Valmond, Drigo, Austrie, Bannis, Burton and Serrant families both in Castle Bruce, Dominica and St. Croix; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.

The family respectfully requests that attendees wear a face mask and adhere to the social distancing requirements.

There will be a viewing held at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 20, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church. Interment will be at Kingshill Cemetery.
