Home Invasion, Assault Reported in Estate Whim

The V.I. Police Department responded at 10:40 a.m. Monday to the report of a home invasion victim at the Frederiksted Health Care Clinic.

According to police the victim told officers he had been at his residence in Estate Whim when three unknown males with guns forced their way in the home. The victim said he attempted to defend himself, but the suspects overpowered and restrained him.

The victim, whose name was not reported by police, said the suspects searched the residence before fleeing in a vehicle. The victim told officers he was able to free himself and caught a ride to the clinic before subsequently being transported to the hospital or further treatment.

Police urged anyone with information on the attack to call 911, the Crime TipLine at 340-778-4950, or the anonymous tip service, Crime Stoppers USVI at 1-800-222-8477.
