Public Works Gives Update on Main Street Revitalization Project

Work continues on the Charlotte Amalie Main Street project.
Work continues on the Charlotte Amalie Main Street project.

As progress on the Main Street Revitalization Project on St. Thomas continues, it has become necessary to temporarily restrict access on the roadway between Nye Gade and Raadets Gade. This closure will facilitate the installation of conduits, storm drainage, irrigation pipes and sewer main/sewer laterals on Droninngens Gade (Main Street).

Vehicular traffic from Market Square will now be allowed to enter Main Street from the western end starting from the Enid Baa Public Library heading east.

Motorists traveling from Guttets Gade (First Bank Road) will be allowed to turn right onto Main Street and head east, they must make a right turn onto Raadets Gade.

Motorists will also be able to travel west from Cardow and must turn right onto Nye Gade to access Garden Street, as indicated in the attached diagram.

BLOCK NO.3 MAIN STREET Work is scheduled to commence on Monday, July 8, continuing until completion of the scheduled work.
