William Jeremiah Stevens, better known as “Jere,” died on May 20 at the age of 81 in Florida.
He is survived by his: spouse, Arlene Stevens; children: Audriene Stevens, William Jeremiah Stevens Jr., Juliette Stevens Hunt, Joycelyn (Stevens) Alston, Dale Stevens, Clayton Stevens, Carlton Stevens, Adlea Stevens, Andrea Stevens and Rudelphe Stevens; 29 grandchildren; and 8 great- grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the first viewing from 5-7 p.m., Thursday, June 13, at Celestial Chapel of Dan Hurley Home for Funerals. The second viewing will be held at 9 a.m. followed by the service at 10 a.m., Friday, June 14, at Christ Church Methodist, Market Square. Interment will be at Western Cemetery No. 1.
