Walton Cornelius, also known as “Jim,” died on Feb. 25.
He is preceded in death by his son, Samuel Cornelius.
He is survived by his wife, Allison Cornelius; sons: Cesar Cornelius, Walton Cornelius Jr., Josh Cornelius and Joel Cornelius; daughter, Waldine Cornelius; daughters-in-law: Amber Cornelius and Malaika Cornelius; grandchildren: Yeshai Smith, Empress Cornelius and Iyanna Rose Cornelius; sisters: Lanis Cornelius Charles, Genevieve Cornelius Benjamin and Hildred Cornelius; brother, Egbert Desmond Cornelius; mother-in-law, Kathlin Cain; brothers-in-law: Keithroy Charles, Dean Cain, Randolph Cain and Lyndon Cain; sisters-in-law: Silvia Cornelius, Lorraine Cain, Yvonne Myles and Huldah Manning; numerous nieces and nephews; and many special friends including Julian Labadie, Ottneal Roberts, the Bethel Missionary Baptist Church family, and many more.
The first viewing will be held from 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, March 6, at Turnbull’s Funeral Home and Crematory Services. The second viewing will be held at 9 a.m. followed by services at 10 a.m., Thursday, March 7, at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will be at Eastern Cemetery.
