Robert Benjamin Goldberg, 92, lost his life in a tragic automobile accident on June 4, 2026. in Saugerties, NY.

Born on June 25, 1933, in Forest Hills, NY, to Sam and Gertrude Goldberg, he was a lifelong New Yorker whose influence extends far beyond the places he called home. He will live on in the memories of the people whose lives he touched through his wisdom, humor, and unwavering willingness to help others succeed.
Graduating from Lehigh University in 1954, he continued at Brooklyn Law School, building a distinguished career as both a CPA and an attorney of law specializing in the entertainment industry with offices on the East and West coasts. He had a unique ability for problem-solving and helping clients realize their goals.
Beyond his professional career, he was an avid tennis player, scuba diver, equestrian, and curious world traveler who never lost his desire for adventure. As his preferred mode of transportation, he frequently surprised clients as their elegant CPA/attorney arrived in leathers and a helmet on his BMW motorcycle.
Above all, Robert cherished his family including his devoted wife of 41 years, Cynthia Eichor Goldberg – with whom he shared a home on St. Croix for 20 years – along with his daughter, Caryn Anne Woods Maggio, grandson, Samuel Aiden Woods, son, Jeffery Mark Goldberg, and wife, Susan Walz. Other family members include close cousins Phillip (Flip) Goldberg, wife Judy and cousin Stewart Nacht. He was predeceased by his brother Alan Gallant. Robert’s life was defined by passion, intelligence, and love of family and friends.
