More than 300 job seekers attended a job fair Friday at the Juan F. Luis Memorial Hospital on St. Croix.

In its news release on the event issued Friday, the hospital called the event “a tremendous success from beginning to end, as interested candidates filled all rooms of the event.” The job fair was held at the hospital’s Cardiac Care Center.

Attendees were able to connect directly with hospital department heads, meet potential co-workers, and obtain a glimpse of the work culture at JFL, the news release said.

Many qualified candidates had on the spot interviews, the hospital noted.

“St. Croix is experiencing population expansion and JFL proactively anticipates meeting the healthcare needs of the community,” said Dyma Williams, acting CEO of the hospital.”This job fair was a great opportunity to begin JFL’s workforce development initiative.”
