Man Shot Early Friday on St. Thomas

A man shot early Friday in the vicinity of Lilliendahl and Marienhoj on St. Thomas was treated at the Schneider Regional Medical Center, the V.I. Police Department reported.

According to the police, the Major Crime Unit was called to the hospital at 12:41 a.m. Friday about a shooting victim. The officers made contact with the victim, who couldn’t provide any information about what had happened. The victim, whose name was not made public by police pursuant to VIPD policy, sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body.

Police urged anyone with information about the crime to contacts the VIPD at 340-774-2211, the Major Crime Unit at 340-714-9830, the Criminal Investigation Bureau at 340-714-9807, the 911 call center, or the anonymous tip service, Crime Stoppers USVI, at 1-800-222-8477.
