Bureau of Internal Revenue Resumes Operations at All Offices

Marvin L. Pickering, director of the Virgin Islands Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), informs all taxpayers that, effective Monday, Oct. 30, all bureau offices in the territory will operate between 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

On St. Croix, the Estate Diamond office is open. For excise tax clearances, BIR is still clearing from the U.S. Customs Office at the Henry E. Rohlsen Airport Air Cargo location.  At this time, the Gallows Bay office still remains closed. BIR will inform the public when this location becomes operational again.

On St. Thomas, the East End Plaza office location is open and in full operations.  The Nisky Center office location is also open and in full operations.  Taxpayers are reminded they can file and pay taxes at either location.

The temporary excise and cashiering offices, which were located at the Tropical Shipping Office in Crown Bay, will be closed down at 3 p.m., Friday, Oct. 27.
