Police Arrest Second Suspect in Jala Jala Murder

Police on Thursday arrested Adowa Fleming, a 24-year-old resident of Altona, and charged him with crimes related to the October shooting death of Rajkumarie Hendrickson.

It was the second arrest the V.I. Police Department made in the case. On Tuesday, officers arrested Jibri Roberts and charged him with first-degree murder. Fleming was arrested at 10:55 a.m. Thursday on a warrant charging him with accessory after the fact and misprision of a felony. Misprision is defined as “the deliberate concealment of one’s knowledge of a treasonable act or a felony.”

According to the V.I. Police Department, around 4 a.m. Oct. 24,  Henderson was standing outside the Jala Jala Club on Kronprindsens Gade, talking with two men, when an individual operating a Jeep drove up to the trio and began firing shots in their direction. Hendrickson was shot where she was standing. Officers arriving at the scene discovered Henderson’s unresponsive body, which had sustained numerous gunshot injuries.

Adowa Fleming was charged with accessory after the fact and misprision of a felony. Unable to post bail set at $250,000, Adowa Fleming was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending his advice of rights hearing.
