Wilkins Charged with Threatening Wife

Leon Alphonso Wilkins was arrested Tuesday and held without bail after allegedly assaulting his wife, the V.I. Police Department reported.

Officers said Wilkins held a knife to his wife’s neck and destroyed furniture in their residence. The incident occurred at about 4:30 p.m. at a residence in Old Tutu.

Wilkins was held without bail, in accordance with the domestic violence laws, pending his appearance at his advice of rights hearing.
